Thurso customers. Feedback is coming in that some of you are downloading the wrong taxi booking app when booking taxis in Thurso. Please visit Highland.taxi website and press the app you need for your type of device. Then download the app named "Taxi Booker", open the app up and type Highland Taxis in the "Taxi Booker" app.

Hello Thurso. Welcome to 2025.

Highland Taxis in all regions of the Highlands of Scotland will plan to transition to online bookings only (Contractors excluded) as more people are moving away from Landlines to mobiles due to BT phasing out analogue landline phones at the end of 2025.

We plan to take full advantage of our booking app.

Highland Taxis in Thurso will be the 1st to transition and will close our telephone lines on February 1st 2025.

A YouTube video will be posted in April with the latest instructions on how to download our booking app and how to book your taxi online.

Online Taxi bookings web and app returning to Thurso.

Hello Thurso and Scrabster. Highland Taxis will be back in operation from the 1st of November due to a hit with COVID and inflation. But we will operate in a way no other taxi company operates in Thurso.

Highland Taxis will operate without a base and without a telephone operator.

There is no service to divert telephone calls to our drivers while operating a vehicle on the road as customer safety is important to us.

As we grow, prebooking's must be provided with 24 hours notice ahead so we can plan our day without the issue of bookings clashing. This is ideal for Train, Ferry, Airport connections or even nights out. The online service will be available 24 hours a day and services available 24 hours a day. We hope to reduce the booking notice in the future.

All bookings made online will require card payments only. Cash is no longer accepted.

As Highland Taxis grows in Caithness we will improve on our services.

From booking your taxi if there is a slight issue with bookings we will be able to contact you via phone or email.

Last Saturday in Thurso for providing a night service went well. I think we can try it again. Highland Taxis in Thurso is taking bookings between 6pm to 1am for this Saturday night. Give us a ring or book online.

For Thurso Only! Saturday 14th of October. Hello to our Thurso Customers. between 6pm to 1am we will undergo a trial run to operate a night service. We are now taking bookings within these times to see what the taxi demand is like. We will only provide 1 vehicle and we will listen to the feedback to see how it will go.
