🧐A common assumption on 9/10 occasions is that your Standard Hackney Carriage Taxi is more expensive than the likes of your large private hire operator.

❌ That’s not always the case, Hackney Carriage vehicles have a Tariff change which changes at a set time every day (not when the driver feels like it).

📅This evening on one occasion (out of 3 reported that we are aware of) private hire companies (one specifically) charged almost double what the cost of a Hackney carriage taxi would charge for the same journey, on the journey out the fare was almost quadrupled!

🚸As children people are always taught not to get into a car with a stranger, and to be cautious of your surroundings when out and about.

⁉️So why would you jump into a car with a stranger that doesn’t:-

- hold a conversation
- break down barriers when your in a vulnerable position to ease the awkwardness/nerve of jumping into a vehicle with a stranger.
- Undergo stringent police background vetting.
- Willingly undertake additional safeguarding & disability training courses

£17.95 for a journey which costs £12.30 in a Hackney Carriage taxi.

That’s instantly a £5.65 saving, if you’re lucky that’s an extra 🍺.

Go local with a Taxi Firm you can trust! 🚕🚗

⁉️Did you know we collected a customer that had been charged premium price by a certain private hire operator for a “not so premium service!”

Whilst many people have the ease of clicking a button on a mobile app, it’s not always the best option, biased as it may seem coming from a taxi service, but you may end up getting less “bang for your buck!”

What only cost £25 ended up costing the customer £45 on top!
