Norfolk and Waveney CCG in collaboration with system health and care partners are funding a Jab Cab service until 28 February 2022. This service offers residents of Norfolk and Waveney a free taxi cab return journey to a vaccination site in order to receive a COVID-19 jab.

We have a large number of Breckland based cab companies involved in the scheme.

✅ FOR THE ATTENTION OF ALL OUR CUSTOMERS, THROUGHOUT THETFORD AND THE LOCAL AREA.... ✅

⏱ From Midnight tonight (00:00 hrs on 23/09/2020) you WILL be required to wear a face mask when travelling in any Taxi or Private Hire Vehicle anywhere in England. The usual medical exemptions apply and there are penalties of £200+ should you not wear a mask.

Our drivers reserve the right to refuse you travel if you are not wearing a mask and may ask you to leave the vehicle if you remove your mask during the journey.

The usual cleaning, sanitising of vehicles and other relevant safety precautions are still in place. We ask you that if you have any symptoms that you do not travel with us, in doing so you would be putting our drivers, their families and other customers at risk.

We continue to ask that you sanitise or wash your hands before entering our vehicles and that you do not remove your mask during the journey.

Due to the relaxation of ‘lockdown’ across the country, we are happy to announce that as of Monday 01 June will be resuming our services. Initially our opening hours will be reduced to 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday and 10:00 - 16:00 on Saturday but we will look to increase these as demand increases.

We would still hope that passengers adhere where possible to social distancing and as a result we ask that customers travel in the rear of the vehicles and use contactless payments as much as possible via card or mobile phones. We also will introduce regular cleaning breaks for the vehicles after every use.

Wherever possible we will be using the minibuses which have a fully enclosed rear compartment from the front and adhere to all local licensing authority regulations. If you have any specific requirements (such as wheelchair assistance) please state at time of booking so we can send the most appropriate vehicle for your needs.

LJ'S TAXIS will cover your usual £2 so you can get a cab upto the value of £10.
For everyone's safety we shall only be using the disabled buses. Please share so we can all help those who need it.

CHANGE OF HOURS FROM 21/3/20
Our opening times will be
09.00 - 18.00 7 days a week.
We shall only be using the buses to keep the driver separate from the passengers for both yours and there safety. Contact less payment would be preferred where possible. The vehicles are easier to keep clean inside and will be wiped over after each job.

We have over 250 people using our vouchers, have you a family member over the age of 50 living in thetford that could use these to help towards going to the hospital, doctors or even just getting out.
The only catch is you pay the first £2. So for example your taxi costs £6 you pay £2 cash and use 2 of your 5 vouchers. You are entitled to 1 set of vouchers per month. Any other questions please call 07518960182

Apologies our phone has been down for a couple of hours. We should be back up and running by 16.00
