We had a fabulous trip down to Parliament to visit Navendu Mishra, Thank you for the invitation, we all had a wonderful day💚

It was such a pleasure to welcome volunteers from the Stockport Car Scheme to Parliament.

They are a wonderful local charity and have been supporting our residents for over 25 years - helping adults in Stockport who struggle to use public transport.

Without our incredible volunteer drivers, our Transport Support service wouldn't be the amazing service it is!

They help people travel to appointments and activities that support their wellbeing. This includes health appointments, shopping, social groups, visits to family and more.

Our service supports independence and reduces isolation for those who may otherwise not be able to get around.

If you have some spare time and want to make a real difference in Stockport, we’d love to hear from you.
Every day, we support local residents who struggle to get to essential appointments, social groups, and community activities. For many people, our service is the only way they can stay connected, independent, and active.
If you have a little spare time and enjoy helping others, volunteering with us could be a perfect fit. Full training is provided, and you’ll be joining a friendly, supportive team.

💙 Community Dementia Awareness – Today at Stockport Car Scheme 💙

Today, we were delighted to deliver a FREE Community Dementia Awareness Course at Stockport Car Scheme.

It was wonderful to meet such a dedicated team who support people in the community every day, and to have open, positive conversations around understanding dementia, communication, and how small changes can make a big difference.

Thank you to everyone who attended and for the invaluable work you do across Stockport.
