🌟 It’s Volunteers’ Week! 🌟

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible people who give their time to support our community.

Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Quite simply, we couldn’t run our services without them. From helping people get to vital medical appointments to making sure our members can enjoy days out and stay connected, their impact is huge.

For many in our community, these journeys wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers. They don’t just provide transport. They provide companionship, independence, and a real sense of connection.

Thank you to each and every one of our amazing volunteers!

To celebrate them, and everything they do, we’ll be shining a spotlight on one volunteer each day this week.

More happy members enjoying a shopping trip to Tindale yesterday! And what a beautiful day to go.

This time, we visited the side with The Range and Home Bargains, which means next time we'll be heading over to the Tesco and M&S side.

🚐Did you know we offer a Dial-a-Ride service every Friday?🚐

If you live locally, we can help you get to:

✂️ Hairdresser appointments
🛍️ Local shops & high streets
🏥 Doctor’s appointments
…and more!

Our fantastic volunteers will pick you up from your home, take you where you need to go, and arrange a return journey to get you safely back home.

Whether you need a regular weekly trip or just a one-off journey, we’re here to help – we just ask for around a week’s notice to organise everything.

💷 Cost: Usually just £5 (local journeys)

Some interesting statistics from the month of April!

We had 4 outings for our Trip Club.
We helped 10 people get to doctor/hospital appointments.
We took 2 people to their weekly hairdresser appointment.
We had group bookings from nearby care homes, schools, and local community groups.

If you, or someone you know, could benefit from any of these services, please feel free to get in touch with us to discuss options.

Our members had an amazing afternoon at Broom Mill Farm Shop yesterday!

There was plenty of time to browse all the delicious locally-made food, and enjoy a cuppa and some lunch. It was a great day out filled with good company and lots of smiles 😊
