What a project!

A recent movement for the British Antarctic Survey saw our Specialist Movements team back at Harwich, delivering and offloading critical cargo with our mobile crane, another step in a long-standing partnership that spans over two decades.

From heavy plant machinery to daily essentials for life on-station, we’ve supported BAS’s mission to understand our changing planet by ensuring their equipment gets where it needs to be — safely and efficiently.

Later this year, the collaboration takes on a new dimension. When the RRS Sir David Attenborough returns to port in a few months, we’ll be deploying our 100% electric HGV fleet to support the onward journey helping reduce emissions in real, tangible ways.

Sustainability isn’t a side project. It’s built into the way we move.

A big well done to Julie Payne, our Operations Manager in the Specialist Movements division, for scoring 100% in the FORS Practitioner Workshop on Fleet Decarbonisation.

This short but insightful course offered a great introduction to the principles and challenges of decarbonising transport operations — something that's front and centre for us across the group.

Our specialist movements division delivered hydraulic rams to Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, keeping the rides running smoothly. Another precision job from the team, just a shame we couldn't stick around for a go on the rollercoaster! 🎢
