Well done Iain. Creating Elite standards.
Every days a golf day ⛳️
Special mention goes to Iain for his help throughout, not just driving. He made everything function smoothly. For example:
When we arrived at Carnoustie I realized I'd forgotten the power converter for my phone charger. I asked him to pick one up and bring it the next morning. He got me one and dropped it off at the hotel before I finished my round.
The next day at the Jubilee course he told us there is no halfway house on the course so we were able to get takeaway sandwiches at the clubhouse to eat during the round. If he hadn't told us that we would have been hungry on the course.
The next day we played the Old Course at 7:10am. Iain confirmed the evening before that we could get breakfast starting at 6:30 at the snack bar near the 1st tee. He picked us up at the Links clubhouse afterwards to take us to the Castle course. He figured that we had left our clubs near the 1st tee at the Old course and was thoughtful enough to pick them up on the way to get us.
When we played Lundin Links we had a short window to get to Crail for our afternoon tee time. Iain realized the play was slower than expected and called ahead to Crail to move our tee time 30 minutes later so we made it with no problem. He also got takeaway sandwiches for us so we could eat on the ride between courses.
On the way home from Crail, John Clarke realized he'd given his phone to the caddie and forgotten to get it back. It was late in the day and the club was closed. The next morning Iain called the club, got in touch with the caddie, and got John's phone before he picked us up to go to Dumbarnie.
All of us on the trip could not have been happier with Iain. He's a great guy and was a real asset to our enjoyment of the trip.
Bob Latham and family are still sightseeing but he asked me to include the following about the two days they spent with Iain after the golf trip was over.
The Latham’s add the following regarding their extended trip sightseeing tour to Balmoral and to the Sterling Castle and nearby areas. Iain was a gracious host along with being a perfect driver. We got along very well with him. He did a great job for us helping to schedule our trips. He also arranged for us to stop in Pitlochry which made our trip to Balmoral very easy and pleasant. The next day, traveling to the Wallace monument and Sterling Castle, Iain was able to arrange for us to have lunch at a great place in Stirling, which just fit the bill for us perfectly. We can’t recommend him highly enough. He’s the greatest. We appreciated being with him. He’s got a great personality as well as a wealth of experience and knowledge.
