Blake is in Great Ormond Street Hospital for the foreseeable future.
Blake is the daughter of Jemma Jackson and former comedian Luke Milford. Some of Luke’s former colleagues are giving their time for a benefit stand up gig at The Stand Comedy Club in Newcastle on 27th July to help towards allowing Luke and Jemma to continue to stay in London with her..
Come and see the great Carl Hutchinson as he takes a break from his huge national tour, hilarious Game of Thrones legend Ben Crompton and Sammy Dobson, doing a rare stand up gig these days as she’s normally too busy starring in Casualty.
Plus, Lee Kyle as host, the wonderful Alex Redman and, with his first gig for many years, Si Hetherington who you may remember as the loveable Cullercoats gangsta rapper Biscuitz.

But now, let’s hear from Jemma about Blake:
Hi I’m Jemma,
I’m Blake’s mam, Blake was born on the 1st of January 2025 and she is perfect. It was soon discovered that Blake was poorly and we have been in hospital since she was 4 days old. She’s had several surgeries in her short little life more than most will have in their entire life.
We have been sent to Great Ormond Street Hospital to see a specialist as they believe Blake has a rare disorder.
She’s in the right place but the cost of living in London has taken it’s toll on us as a family and trying to secure accommodation to stay in is very stressful for myself and her dad.
We need to be in London because it’s the best place for Blake and we will do anything for her, we never thought we would be in this position to have to ask for help but the longer we are away from our home in the North East the harder it is getting for us.
We kindly ask if you can help us to keep going, we really appreciate it.
