1. Clean your car
When the driver arrives at the pick-up, he will fill in the CMR documentation to mark your car’s condition before loading. Washing your car would make any flaws like scratches, dings, paint chips, or dents visible better. That will exclude any further possible issues.

2. Check your vehicle for leaks
Before loading your vehicle, check for any noticeable leaks. It may cause some inconvenience during transportation. If you notice a leak, make sure to get it repaired before loading.

3. Take Pictures of Your Car
After the vehicle is loaded, take good quality pictures from all angles. If there are any scratches or other damages, take photos of them as well. The driver will take pictures too, but it’s always better to have your own as proof.

4. Check tire pressure
If tires aren’t properly inflated, it could increase the risk of their damage. Sometimes may occur damage during loading/unloading of the vehicle if tires are over-inflated or under-inflated. So, make sure that this problem is fixed before the pick-up.

5. Explain the nuances of your vehicle
Usually, a driver picks-up up and loads the vehicle himself. Or unload at the delivery. So it is crucial to explain how to start the car ( if it has some oddities). There also might be other unusual details about your vehicle, which the driver better would know.

6. Disable Alarms
To avoid any inconvenience during transportation, you should better disable alarms before loading. Some alarms might be pretty sensitive, so it could become quite a problem for the driver to get out of his truck to turn it off each time.
