Monday 15th June 2026
Colyford to Colyton B3161
Coly Road and South Street, Colyton
Affects: 885 services

The main road from between Colyford and Colyton will be closed on Monday 15th June 2026 for the whole day. We do have special permission for the 885 school bus to proceed through as normal morning and afternoon but, unfortunately, that is the only bus we are being allowed to send through. Regrettably this means we will be unable to serve Colyton and Whitford for the whole day on all the public services.

The following bus stops will not be served on Monday 15th June 2026 (except 885 school service):-

Coly Vale
Colyton Fire Station
Colyton Market Square
Umborne Bridge
Whitford

The nearest bus stop for anyone in Colyton wishing to use the 885 services on Monday 15th June 2026 will be Wheelwright, Colyford.

Thankfully, this will just be for one day! All being well, we should be back to normal on Tuesday 16th June 2026.

Once again, we apologise for any inconvenience this will cause.

ROAD CLOSURE
Monday 8th June to Friday 12th June 2026: 09:30-15:30 Each Day
Seaton to Beer B3174
Beer Road and New Road

Affects: 885 and 899 services

The main road from Seaton to Beer will be closed Monday to Friday next week between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 each day. As a result of this closure we will not be able to operate the 885 services between Beer and Seaton during these times.

The only 885 services that will operate each day between Seaton and Beer Monday to Friday next week are:-

07:40 885 Seaton to Beer Cross
07:50 885 Beer Cross to Seaton

16:55 885 Seaton to Beer Cross
17:05 885 Beer Cross to Seaton

17:55 885 Seaton to Beer Cross
18:05 885 Beer Cross to Seaton

The 899 services will operate as normal between Seaton and Beer throughout the day, however, we will be diverting from Seaton Sea Front up to the A3052 towards Sidmouth and turning left at Hangaman's Stone crossroads down Court Barton Hill into Beer on the 899 services that fall in-between the road closure hours of 09:30 and 15:30. This diversion will be the same on return when travelling from Beer Cross to Seaton.

ROAD CLOSURE
BEER
From Friday 10th April 2026

Affects: 885 and 899 services

We will be unable to serve Beer Cross or Underleys until the road re-opens. Closure is between Causeway and Beer Cross.

We will serve BEER COACH PARK on both services at the same timings as Beer Cross would be. This will be the only pick up point in Beer we can use on both 885 and 899 services as a result of the closure.

We have received no advance notice of this closure and further apologise for the inconvenience.

ROAD CLOSURE
Lyme Street, Axminster
Monday 30th March to Thursday 2nd April 2026

Affects: 885 Services

Due to the above road closure our 885 services will be terminating at and starting from Axminster Rail Station for the duration of this closure.

We will not be serving the bus stops at Axminster Trinity Square, Axminster Hospital and all Millwey bus stops.

This decision has been taken due to the severe impact it would have on our times on the return from Millwey with the diversion route in place and congestion the road closure will cause. As the 885 service is an hourly service we would lose too much time to be able to operate this service to its timetable.

ROAD CLOSURE
South Street, Colyton

From 09:00am on Wednesday 18th March 2026

An emergency road closure has been set up on South Street, Colyton this morning between the junctions of Govers Meadow and Grove Hill. Unfortunately we will not be able to access Market Square, Colyton for the duration of the closure. We will, however, be able to serve the stops at Colyton Fire Station and Umborne Bridge as normal.

B3174 Seaton to Beer CLOSED

Wed 21st Jan to Fri 23rd Jan 2026

Affects: 885 and 899 services

The main road between Seaton and Beer has been closed at 11am this morning and this closure is in effect until Fri 23rd Jan 2026.

885 services will start and terminate in Seaton

899 services will divert via Hollyhead Road and this service will be the one to use for a Beer to Seaton service

AXMOUTH to BOSS HILL ROAD CLOSURE

The above road closure, due to finish on Friday 16th January 2026, has been extended until the end of Monday 19th January 2026.

This means our AX105 and 897B school bus services will not be able to serve Harbour Road, Seaton or Axmouth on Monday so please keep to the arrangement made last week to meet the school buses at Seaton Sea Front.

Our 378 Seaton to Lyme Regis services on Monday will also not be able to serve Harbour Road Bus Stop, Seaton or Axmouth Ship Inn all day.

Hopefully we will be able to resume normal services on Tuesday 20th January 2026.

ROAD CLOSURE
Colyton Square
From Friday 9th January 2026

SWW have just set up a road closure in Colyton Square area. This must be an emergency closure as we have had no pre-warning of this happening.

Unfortunately we will not be able to serve Colyton Square on our 885 bus services until the road re-opens.

We will be serving bus stops at Colyton Fire Station and Umborne Bridge as normal.

BUS FARE INCREASES

From Monday 5th January 2026

Bus fares across Devon will in general be increasing in the new year.

Our bus fares will be increasing from Monday 5th January 2026.

Single fares under the current bus fare cap, all day return tickets, 12 journey tickets and Axe Valley Day Rover tickets will increase by approximately 5%.

The good news is the SINGLE bus fare cap of £3 will however continue until at least 31st December 2026.
