After moving to Essex, Serge joined RTS as a Traffic Management Operative, choosing Grays depot for its convenience. In just three years, he’s worked across the Events Team and now taken on a new challenge: training the next generation of operatives. Combining his teaching qualifications with real-world experience, Serge brings a thoughtful, hands-on approach to his new role.

With RTS continuing to grow, Serge sees this as the perfect time to be part of the journey - and we couldn’t agree more.

Marking 10 Years of Elizabeth Clarvis at RTS 🥳

On 30 March, we celebrated Elizabeth Clarvis reaching a fantastic milestone - 10 years at Road Traffic Solutions.

Liz has worn many hats during her time here, starting as a Planning Coordinator, moving into Compliance as a Training Coordinator, then leading the Planning Team, and now excelling in her role in Continuous Improvement.

Her deep knowledge of our systems (especially REPS), her ability to train and support others, and her passion for doing things better have made her an essential part of RTS.

We’re grateful for everything you’ve done so far, Liz - and excited to see what’s next!

Celebrating 15 Years of Wayne Shipley at RTS

On 22 March, Wayne Shipley celebrated an incredible 15 years with Road Traffic Solutions—a milestone we’re proud to mark and share.

Over the years, Wayne has been an invaluable part of the company, bringing dedication, expertise, and a strong work ethic that has made a lasting impact. He joined the company as an apprentice CAD technician and over the years has become the go-to for all things technical/TM and now passes on his knowledge to imbued the new generation of technical drawers. Having had the pleasure of working alongside Wayne for the past seven years, I have seen first hand his commitment to teamwork and unwavering support for those around him. His contributions have helped shape the success of our team and the company as a whole. We truly appreciate everything he has done and look forward to many more years of working together.

👋 A Fond Farewell (For Now!) to Rebecca Roe

Today, we say goodbye - just for a short while - to one of our longest-serving and most valued colleagues, Rebecca Roe, as she steps away to welcome her second child.

At the same time, we take a moment to (belatedly but deliberately!) celebrate Rebecca’s 10-year anniversary at Road Traffic Solutions. Starting as an apprentice in 2015, Becky initially worked on reception but quickly progressed to Reactive Process Coordinator later that same year. Demonstrating the dedication and ability needed to thrive in such a fast-paced environment, she steadily rose through the ranks to her current role as Senior Operations Planner, overseeing our Reactive and DNO client base.

Becky has adapted to the ever-changing needs of the business, proving invaluable in delivering our 24/7 service and instrumental in shaping it, ensuring that new colleagues receive the knowledge and training they need to succeed.

Somehow, amidst all this, she has also found time to start a family and spend hours following Taylor Swift and Harry Styles around the UK!

From all of us at RTS, thank you, Becky, for your incredible contribution. We wish Rebecca, Josh, and Freya all the best as they prepare to welcome their newest family member - enjoy the early nights and late mornings while you can!

Celebrating Chinese New Year! 🐍

Last week, communities across the UK celebrated Chinese New Year, welcoming the Year of the Snake. We were proud to support the London parade in the West End, home to colourful floats and the largest gathering of Chinese lions and dragons in Europe.

Our Events Team, Total Event Solutions, was on the ground providing traffic management, stewarding, HVM solutions, and event planning, ensuring the celebrations were safe, well-organised, and enjoyed by all.

A huge thank you to our team for their hard work behind the scenes - keeping events moving so communities could come together to celebrate.
