Have you visited Rendall Doocot on a trip to Orkney?

Built in the 17th century and situated at the Hall of Rendall, the conical beehive design is unique to Orkney and its four external courses of flagstones with gaps in the stonework allow access for pigeons. Visitors are asked to make sure that they do not alarm the birds when approaching the building.

It's been fantastic to see the unveiling of Inverness Chamber's new brand. The new identity reflects the ambition, collaboration and strength of the business community it represents. We're delighted to support the Chamber as members, with our Managing Director, Helen Inkster, also serving on the board.

Looking forward to what's ahead.

Ness Battery guarded the Hoy Mouth entrance to Scapa Flow in both world wars. One of the best-preserved sites of its kind in Britain, it still has gun emplacements, control tower, wooden accommodation huts and mess hall with a colourful wall mural.
