Oakleys Coaches have full time and part time PSV driver vacancies.
The vacancies are available for immediate start.
We have a mixture of work from rural bus service routes driving brand new Mercedes Sprinters. We also require school contract drivers plus some private hire work.
All candidates must have a full category D, PSV licence and a valid driver CPC card. School contract drivers must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check.
These positions will be operating from our Tavistock Depot.

TAV003 will not be operating in Princetown either, but is still
operating in Dousland and Walkhampton.

Oakleys are delighted to have been successful in winning the Tavistock/ Yelverton/ Princetown bus services again 55, 56 & 98.
We have also won the 59 service back again as well.
Just to add. The picture is a library photo of one of our old buses from when we operated the services before. We are looking at newer buses now.

Today is an extremely sad day here at Oakleys.
We have sadly lost one of our wonderful colleagues/ friend George.
George really was one of the good guys.
He really was a popular colleague and a true gentleman.
RIP George. You really are sadly missed by us all. 😢

Covering a morning and afternoon school contract. Working approximately 3.5 hours per day, term time only. Good rates of pay for very little work.
We offer a salary based pay so you are paid 52 weeks of the year.

I’m afraid IVY031 will not be operating this morning.
We had a call during the night to tell us that the driver has be taken ill.
We now have 5 drivers absent so we have no one spare.
We are sorry for the inconvenience this will cause.
We are trying to get cover for the afternoon run, so will update you later this morning.

We have a vacancy for a vehicle technician/mechanic.
The role will be to service and inspect our fleet of minibuses and midi coaches to DVSA standards and prepare vehicles for annual test.
Flexible hours available to suit the right candidate.
Good rate of Pay which is negotiable depending on qualification and experience.

TAV003 school bus is running extremely late this morning.
The bus is still going to run the full route. If any students are able to wait for the bus it is running an hour late.

This is our new workshop/depot in Tavistock.
We have just had the 1st of two vehicle lifts installed by Hickleys Garage Equipment.
This is for our minibuses.
Great job done.
Big thank you to Adam Dawe for connecting the electric supply at the same time so the lift could be tested and certified today 😊
