When traveling in our taxis please follow the advice of the driver. For example, you may be asked to sit in the back left hand seat if travelling alone.

Please also be reminded that you should remain aware of the surfaces you or others travelling with you touch.

As we continue to regularly clean our cars and provide necessary equipment to our drivers and staff, we should all be mindful that measures may change as we go through the next few months. As such, you may want to check with our operators before travelling if we have any additional measures in place.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

The taxi licensing team (council) and the nominated MOT garage have decided to fail one of our vehicles over "chip marks on front bumper"

This will result in a re-test where we have to pay an extra £10 to get it retested.

The council need to concentrate on getting the cars SAFE over the Xmas period not prioritising the looks of the car.

My personal opinion is I would rather sit in a taxi where it is safe i.e. brakes, tyres and road legal, than a few scratches on the front bumper due to motorway wear and tear.

So the council expect to get the bumper re-sprayed, for it to be tested again in 6 months when the chip marks inevitably will appear again due to driving on motorway.

Spot checks carried out by the council and VIP taxis was the ONLY one who passed with flying colours. Be SAFE, be SAFE with VIP Cars. Putting public safety FIRST!!
