Freeburn Transport Ltd Team Raises £15,000 for Air Ambulance NI and Evora Hospice

Thanks to the generosity of friends, family, customers, and the wider community, the team exceeded their original £10,000 target, raising a fantastic £15,000 in total. The funds have been equally divided, with £7,500 presented to each charity.

Chris Freeburn, Managing Director, commented: ““I’m extremely proud of our team for their commitment and determination in taking on the Laganside 10K. We’ve been genuinely humbled by the level of support from everyone who donated. Both Air Ambulance Northern Ireland and Evora Hospice provide essential services in our community, and it’s a privilege to be able to support their work in a meaningful way.”

A team of 20 colleagues from Freeburn Transport Ltd Transport will lace up their running shoes on Sunday 7th September to take part in the Laganside 10K, with an ambitious goal of raising £10,000 for two vital local charities: Air Ambulance Northern Ireland and the Evora Hospice (formerly Southern Area Hospice Services).

📣📣 We’re currently recruiting a HGV Trailer fitter / Mechanic 📣📣

We are currently seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing trailers, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
We are able to offer this as a full-time or part-time position depending on personal circumstances

Duties
- Perform equipment repairs on trailers
- Conduct routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns
- Performing PSV inspections, servicing & repairing various trailers and handling diagnostics, mechanical & electrical repairs
- Ensure vehicles are maintained & repaired to a high standard as per DVA / DVSA guidelines
- Keeping accurate service records
- Maintaining a high standard of professionalism
- Dealing with breakdowns and defects
- Demonstrate a keen attention to detail

Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Valid UK driving license
- Problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Team player
