Our beautiful little Solo was in the workshop for a couple of niggles. This gave us a chance to really appreciate how lucky we are to have such a fine example in our collection.

Kicking off the season, 18506 is out and about for the Fife Bus Bundle today. Looking rather good after the winter slumber, we look forward to another year with this very popular newcomer in the fleet.

434, the other way round!

Huge successes with the front end rebuild, attention will now be focused on the rear where similar chassis repairs are also required. This will involve the dropping of the rear axle and sub frame arrangement for best access.

Following this, we will lower the engine and gearbox for leak repairs fitting new gaskets and replace the gearbox with an off the shelf refurbished unit.

Lots of work, totally worth it.

A milestone achievement with the chassis restoration of Strathtay Tiger 434.

Yesterday, the air system was replumbed after being, mostly, removed to allow access to the chassis for repair work. Whilst everything was off, the opportunity was taken to replace pr refurbish components, source new tanks and remake pipe work before piecing it all together once again.

The air system holds air well and will allow us many more years of happy motoring.
