Crown Square Transport and Removals, Matlock (2026)

Hello Facebookers!!

The past couple of weeks we've been out and about with the newly liveried Ford van as well as the trusty Merc. The weather has been very much on our side and we have loved helping our customers, both domestic and business, on local and long distance jobs.

I don't think we have seen London as often as the last two weeks having been down there three times and back down there again this coming week!!

Some of the jobs we have been trusted with this past couple of weeks have included -

👑 Delivery of an outdoor kitchen for Clover Kitchens to the Ideal Home Show at Olympia, London with collection a week later.

👑 Full pack and move, on the same day, for our lovely customer in Ripley.

👑 Two individual days for some great customers moving into St Elphins in Darley Dale.

👑 Delivery of 2 vans worth of outdoor tables and chairs for a Tansley based business going to Repton School.

👑 Helping our elderly customer, Wynne, move into his new home in Matlock.

👑 Plus much more!!!

Every job gives certain perks but often being in the removals and transport industry we get some unusual ones!

This last couple of weeks we were privileged to be asked by the Golf Foundation to supply them with various protective equipment (blankets, straps, ratchets, etc) in order to protect some special trophies as they went on tour around the country.

The trophies in question were the official men's and women's Open secondary trophies (the actual ones are kept with the current winners throughout the year).

Here is a picture of me (Gary) with the trophies. It was great to see them in person and to see all the winners names etched on from over the years. A great privilege indeed.

THIS WEEK - SOMETHING SPECIAL!!!

We've gone a day early this week with our post due to Easter. So firstly, a big Happy Easter to everyone. We hope you have a good and restful extended weekend.

This week is a really exciting one for us at Crown Square. We can finally reveal something we've been wanting to do for a good while now - our first ever liveried vehicle!!!

After 5 years of trading and blending in with the other white vans out there, you can now easily spot us as we do our work both in the local area and nationally. So if you see us out and about, why not give us a pip and a wave!!

We certainly hope this will help to spread the name of Crown Square Transport and Removals. After all, just in the next two weeks we are scheduled to do both removals and business jobs to -

THIS WEEK - WE ARE HIRING!!!

THIS WEEK - LONG DISTANCE AND MULTI-DAY REMOVALS!!!

Welcome again to our weekly review of goings on here at Crown Square and what a busy week it's been for us again.

1) On Monday and Tuesday we had the absolute pleasure of relocating our lovely customer from Stanton in Peak all the way down to a small village just outside of Exeter.

A lot of planning went into this move, including 3 separate visits to the property in the weeks leading up to moving day as the customers plans were ever changing in terms of what would be going and staying. It was lovely to be able to help our customer through the various elements of the moving process.

It was an emotional move but one our staff coped with brilliantly, helping and bearing with our customer, putting their mind at rest and giving a supporting hand or word as needed.

The removal is one we will certainly remember and consisted of -

👑 4 Luton vans of household and garden items (including the carpets and underlay)

👑 6 staff to load up and 4 to unload

👑 A stayover on Monday night in Exeter whilst ensuring vehicles were parked safely

👑 Over 2200 van miles covered in total

👑 Most importantly - 1 happy customer

2) On Wednesday and Thursday we were trusted with providing a full home pack and removal for our lovely customers in Derby.

Just 2 vans and 3 staff were required here, including the dismantling and reassembly of a large bed and a very complicated gaming table.

Moving just across the city everything went smoothly and we finished just minutes before the biblical downpours began!

3) On Wednesday we were also trusted with a small job, from our business customer in Tansley, to deliver 4 beautifully made large planters to a garden at a home just outside of Leicester.

4) Our week concluded with a final removal on Friday from Chesterfield to Cleethorpes.

Again, 2 vans and 3 staff were needed here. The customers had done an amazing job with packing and preparing for us meaning we were unloaded in sunny Cleethorpes by 1pm leaving us with just the steady run back to Matlock to finish our week.

We've absolutely loved working for our customers this week and we thank them for putting their trust in Crown Square Transport and Removals.

THIS WEEK - A BIT OF EVERYTHING!!

Our weekly review this time showcases many of the services we offer here at Crown Square. No two days have certainly been the same this week as we have been tasked by both our business and domestic clients on a wide ranging set of jobs including -

👑 Transporting emissions measuring equipment down to North London for a Darley Dale based business

👑 Helping an accountancy firm move items including desks, boxes, files and a large photocopier between their offices in the Leicester area

👑 Two separate piano moving jobs - one reasonably light, one much heavier!

👑 Offering same-day courier and delivery services for our Manchester based events company to three separate locations around the UK

👑 Conducting home removals for customers based in Ripley and Ashbourne

👑 Collection of a large and heavy circular sofa and moving into storage for our Matlock customer

👑 Visiting potential customers for home move assessments and providing quotes for upcoming work

It's certainly been a busy one but it's been an absolute pleasure to work for our customers this week, especially with the much improved weather we have had recently!

Stay tuned for next week as we are about to embark on one of our largest and furthest removals yet.

THIS WEEK - REMOVALS FOCUS

Hi Facebook followers both old and new. We hope you've had a great week. Thanks for taking the time to read another one of our posts detailing what we've been up to these past 7 days.

The Crown Square team have been back out and about helping more customers with their relocation needs. This week we have had the pleasure of working the following home removals -

👑 Matlock Bath to Matlock (a mammoth 12 hour day)
👑 Matlock to Chesterfield (over 2 days)
👑 Matlock to Matlock
👑 Alfreton to Tibshelf
👑 Derby Storage to Ripley (the final piece of a three part removal that actually started in Guernsey!!)

We have really enjoyed assisting our customers this week. It's been hard work but certainly worth it.

REVIEW OF THE WEEK - 22ND FEB

Welcome to our second review of the week, aimed to give you an ongoing flavour of life - Crown Square style!!

After last week's crazy busy one things were a bit calmer this week which, with it being half term, allowed those on the team with kids to spend a bit of time with them, which was really nice.

With that said we still managed to fulfil 3 main jobs (over 4 days) as follows -

1) A TWO-DAY REMOVAL FROM DERBY TO RENDLESHAM

This long distance move (just under 200 miles) required 2 vans and an overnight stay. This is no problem for us as we enjoy exploring different areas of the country and if staying away from home is required to get the job done then we are happy to oblige.

Everything ran smoothly on the job which, due to both a tight internal staircase and external garden path required disassembly and reassembly of all the following items -

👑 Wardrobe
👑 Draw and hanger unit
👑 Ottoman storage bed
👑 Single bed
👑 Large cot
👑 Dining table
👑 Desk
👑 Large Plastic Shed

We often give John the task of Chief Disassembly Officer (!!!) as, with his joinery background, our customers can be sure their items are in the safest of hands.

We even managed to catch a glimpse or two of blue sky whilst in the south of the country. A very unusual sight indeed!!

2) A FULL HOUSE PACKING SERVICE IN MATLOCK BATH

In preparation for a removal taking place next week, we spent a day getting everything packed and ready for our customers including a full kitchen pack, wrapping a number of large artworks, packing of at least 60 boxes of books and yet more wardrobe and bed disassembly. Everything is now ready to go.

3) A SHEFFIELD TO SHEFFIELD HOUSE MOVE

This one was a fairly simple 2 van relocation of just a few miles. The customers had done a great job of packing so things were nice and easy for us with just the Derbyshire weather to negotiate!!

REVIEW OF THE WEEK!!

Welcome to our first ever Review of the Week post.

We happen to start on what has been a really busy, productive, fun and wide-ranging week so this will hopefully give you a good idea of some of the services we offer here at Crown Square.

OTHER - We also had the privilege of collecting and delivering a lovely 1978 Honda motorcycle from Stoke to the local Matlock area.

All in all a really nice week for us. (One of our busiest ever)!

Hello Facebook-ers!! We have been away from social media for a while but things are about to change. We are so looking forward to 2026 and our plan is to take you with us as we grow throughout the year with many exciting plans ahead.

We will be introducing a new 'Review of the Week' post to let you know everything we have been up to over the previous 7 days, both with removals and transport work, as we aim to spread our name far and wide over the coming year.

For now though, we go back a few months to when we (Gary and John) helped out our brilliant business customer, Clover Kitchens (Matt and Elaine) based in Pikehall, with the transport and set-up of their trade stand at the Excel Arena in London showcasing their incredible Noltia outdoor kitchens.

We really enjoy being in the hustle and bustle of this type of event, even more so when everything goes as planned.
