ADMINISTRATOR

Based in Loughborough this is a great opportunity to build a career in administration, logistics freight forwarding and warehousing. Orbital Direct Limited services customers throughout the UK and Internationally, supplying UK logistics as well as imports and exports by air, road or sea freight. In this position you will be working very closely with Sales and operations assisting them through the whole process from customer enquiry right through to job completion and invoicing. You will be dealing with customers, company drivers, suppliers and sub-contractors locally in the UK and throughout the world.

Responsibilities will include

-Creating quotations.
-Processing bookings.
-Assisting with international freight documentation.
-Dealing with customer enquiries and queries.
-Working with suppliers and sub-contractors.
-Answering phone calls.
-Creating dispatch paperwork for the warehouse.
-Maintaining the CRM and booking system.

Skills and qualities

-Confident.
-Positive attitude.
-Proactive and reliable.
-Excellent attention to detail.
-Highly organised.
-Able to cope in a fast paced working environment.
-Ability to work under pressure.

Training

There will be full support in this position with complete sales training from day one with the business owner who has a long track record in a sales. Also we are always looking to grow our sales team and if the candidate wanted to move into a sales position this may be possible if it was right for both parties.

Job Description
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be working in a varied role working in the warehouse and completing deliveries on your own and as part of a two person team for one of our current contracts.
Skills and requirements
路 For insurance purposes we require applicants to be at minimum 25 years old
路 Must hold a valid UK driving license
路 Applicant must be flexible as the role entails early starts and late finishes
路 Must be physically fit as this will involve heavy lifting.
路 Applicant must be polite, punctual and strive to provide the best possible service
路 Good communication and organisation are key, you will be required to fill / return paperwork
路 Weekend work / Overnight stays required on occasion
路 Multi drops

As you will be working within the warehouse at times a fork lift licence would be an advantage but is not essential for this position.

路 Hours are generally 08:30 - 17:00 however applicant must be flexible as the role can at times require early starts and late finishes
路 Must be physically fit as this will involve heavy lifting.
路 Duties include, order picking, stock replenishment and loading.
路 Applicant must be polite, punctual and strive to provide the best possible service
路 Good communication and organisation are key, you will be required to fill / return paperwork
路 Reliability, honesty and excellent timekeeping is essential for this role
路 Able to stand / work for long periods of time

As you will be working within the warehouse a fork lift licence would be an advantage but is not essential for this position. A full valid UK driving license would also be a bonus.
