Eamon & Mary McLaughlin Car Transport is a family owned and run business based in Eglinton, Northern Ireland. The business was started in 1987 by husband and wife Eamon and Mary and originally just transported locally. As the workload steadily increased the business expanded and vehicle movements were extended to cover mainland UK and Europe. Today almost 30 years on the main core of the business

remains the cross channel movement of vehicles but such have been our customers’ demands over the years we now cater for vehicle transport to and from all corners of the globe, and have expanded our services to cover all aspects of the industry. Meet the Team Monday – Meet Mark 🚛

This week’s Meet the Team Monday introduces Mark. Mark first started at McLaughlin’s aged just 17, washing the lorries and learning the ropes from the ground up under the guidance of the main man, Eamon himself.

Fast forward to today, and with over 20 years of experience in vehicle transport, Mark is now back with us as one of our experienced drivers – bringing with him years of knowledge, professionalism and reliability.

He’s the type to put his head down and get on with the work – no fuss, no drama, just steady, reliable graft. If Mark ever has a problem, chances are you’ll only hear about it once he’s already got it sorted.

That attitude, combined with his experience and calm approach, makes him a massive asset to the team and a key part of keeping everything moving smoothly day in, day out.

Full Load for Birkenhead💪

Ronan headed for Birkenhead last night with a full load of 11 vehicles on board before making the return trip home.

A load like this takes a lot of planning before the transporter even leaves the yard. From weight distribution and height management to securing each vehicle correctly, every load has to be positioned carefully to travel safely. With a mix of EVs, performance cars, classics and everyday vehicles on board, no two loads are ever quite the same.

Ronan always takes pride in presenting a tidy, well-planned load and keeping things moving smoothly on these cross-channel runs. Long nights, ferry timings and busy roads are all part of the job, but the standard and care stay the same throughout.
