Presented by The Creative Project Foundation in collaboration with On&On Designs, Fletcher Priest Architects and the Fleet Street Quarter BID, COMMON GROUND: Curated Connections explores how contemporary art, design and craftsmanship can create spaces for dialogue and shared experience within the city. Opening as part of this year’s London Festival of Architecture, the exhibition brings together Polish artists and designers whose practices engage with materiality, experimentation and human interaction.

As part of the opening evening, Michał Borecki of Pani Jurek will join the panel discussion Making Common Ground, moderated by Ellie Stathaki, Architecture and Environment Director at Wallpaper*.

Pani Jurek is a design studio and ceramics workshop run by Magda Jurek and Michał Borecki, operating at the intersection of design, craftsmanship and art. The studio creates objects that move beyond stereotypical functions, with interactivity and spatial relationships forming an inherent part of each work. Known for its distinctive use of colour, material experimentation and deep engagement with ceramics, Pani Jurek combines artistic imagination with design discipline, functionality and a strong respect for handmade processes and local craftsmanship.

The panel discussion asks:
How can objects, buildings and installations create common ground in a city between strangers?

The conversation will also feature Ed Williams, Oskar Zięta and Agata Zięta.

We’re delighted to announce that Ed Williams, Managing Partner at Fletcher Priest Architects, will be joining the opening panel discussion “Making Common Ground” as part of the Curated Connections series, moderated by Ellie Stathaki, Architecture and Environment Director at Wallpaper*.

Ed joined Fletcher Priest in 1995 and now leads the design and planning strategy across the practice. He believes that master planning, architecture, interiors and design research should be fully integrated, having worked on significant projects across a broad range of scales and sectors. These include cinemas, arts and cultural buildings, hotels, housing and workplaces. He believes that all architecture should be democratic, sustainable and future-proofed - environmentally, socially and economically.
In addition to being an architect, Ed is an accomplished painter and pianist and his participation in sport is a passion. All this drives creativity, but it also sharpens his competitive instinct and his belief that architecture is a team activity.
Ed became Partner at Fletcher Priest in 2008 and Managing Partner in 2023.

The panel discussion asks:

The conversation will also feature Oskar Zięta and Michał Borecki.

Material experimentation, technological innovation and sculptural form come together in the work of Zieta Studio, the acclaimed practice founded by architect and process designer Oskar Zięta.

Known internationally for its pioneering FiDU technology, the studio transforms flat steel sheets into lightweight volumetric forms through controlled air inflation, redefining the relationship between engineering, craftsmanship and contemporary design.

As part of COMMON GROUND: Curated Connections, Zieta Studio will present a bench element from the public sculpture Whispers, originally unveiled during London Festival of Architecture 2025 and later exhibited at Maison&Objet Paris 2026, Impact ’26 Poznań and ICFF NYC ’26.

Installed within the garden of Fletcher Priest Architects, the sculptural intervention invites moments of pause, interaction and reflection, blurring the boundaries between object, architecture and atmosphere.

COMMON GROUND brings together Polish artists and designers in a collective exploration of materiality, dialogue and contemporary culture.
