So this labour government. The one that represents working people 😂
Are now talking about bringing in Vat of 20% on taxi fares. Yes that's right.
So imagine you have booked a taxi/ private hire
So for example your normal fare was £50. Now add 20% Vat= £60
It is only the passenger who is going to pay more.

So let me give you an example of the drivers costs.
Cost to purchase the vehicles. Plus
(Value added tax)

Road tax (Vehicle Excise duty tax)

Taxi MOT. Price Set by the government department.

Insurance hire and reward (insurance premium tax)

Fuel (Value added tax)

Vehicle repairs.
(Value added tax)

Local authorities driver's licence fees.
(Value added tax)

Local authorities operators licence fees.
(Value added tax)

Local authorities test fees. (Value added tax)

Medical tests
(Value added tax)

DBS criminal record checks.
(Value added tax)

Airport drop off and pick up fees.
(Value added tax)

Congestion charge zones.

So next time you ask on social media for a cheap recommendation. Please think how are they so cheap. With all these expenses.. are they licensed ? Are the vehicles maintained ?
Is this driver checked ?
Is this vehicle insured ?

London Christmas lights tours for up-to 7 people.
We are once again offering this spectacular opportunity. Commencing on Thursday 13th November 2025. in our Mercedes v class or up to 11 passengers in two vehicles. The tour takes up to (approximately) 6 hrs.
Ride with Father Christmas.

The tour starts at the most decorated public house The Churchill Arms. Then to Harrods. Hedonism wine shop.
Battersea power station then the London eye.

New bond street. We basically cover all the central London lights.
