📍 Carluke, Lanark & Carnwath Areas

🕒 Monday to Friday (School Times)

⏱️ 15–20 hours per week
💷 £13 per hour
🌴 22 days paid holiday

We are currently looking for reliable and caring School Taxi Drivers and Passenger Assistants to join our team.

This role involves working with children who may have disabilities and challenging behaviour, so applicants must be patient, confident and able to cope in a sometimes demanding environment.

✅ Must be fit and able to get in and out of larger vehicles
✅ Comfortable working closely with children
✅ Reliable and available Monday–Friday during school run times
✅ Must be able to obtain a Disclosure (PVG/DBS)
✅ Full support will be given to apply for a Taxi Licence (drivers)

⭐ Even if you’re not quite ready to start right away, we can help get you prepared for the next school term.

⏳ Please note: Disclosure clearance and taxi licences can currently take 4–5 weeks to process.

Job includes:
• Taking bookings from customers
• Dispatching jobs to drivers
• Answering phones
• Keeping things organised when it gets busy

You don’t need to have done taxi control before — as long as you’re confident on the phone and can stay calm when it’s busy, we can show you the rest.

Are you a patient, resilient, and compassionate individual looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference? We're seeking a dedicated Passenger Assistant to join our team, supporting children with complex needs on their daily journey to and from school.

Important: This role involves working with children who can display extremely challenging behaviours. The successful candidate must be prepared to handle difficult situations with empathy, understanding, and a firm but fair approach. This is a demanding but ultimately highly rewarding position.

About the Role:
As a Passenger Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of children with special educational needs. You will be responsible for:
* Escorting children on dedicated school transport, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Providing support and encouragement to children during their journey.
* Managing challenging behaviours with patience and understanding.
* Liaising with parents, schools, and transport providers.
* Maintaining accurate records of journeys and incidents.

What We're Looking For:
* A calm and patient demeanor with a genuine passion for helping others.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to remain composed and professional in challenging situations.
* Experience working with children with special needs is desirable, but not essential.
* A full, clean driving licence is preferred but not always essential, depending on the specific route.
* A commitment to working every school day, during term time.
