51 Passengers departing Penrith on the 106 service today. That's 12 standing! Its a shame Cumbria classic coaches are stopping but this service shouldn't because theres not many rural bus services that can boast passenger numbers like that!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Cumbria Classic Coaches will cease operating all routes at the end of the day on Tuesday 30th September 2025.
This affects
Monday Route 571
Tuesday and Friday Route 106
Wednesday Route 572
and Thursday Route 570

The 106 committee will be re tendering the 106 route and hopefully Westmoreland and Furness Council will work with the local communities to cover the gaps.

This has been an extremely difficult decision to make and there was never going to be a good time to make it.

It has been a great experience serving our local communities and we would like to thank all our passengers for their custom and loyalty over the last 28 years.

For the next 2 weeks the 570 service will be departing the depot and Ravenstonedale stops 30 minutes early in the morning due to the roadworks in shap. Shap should be on time and tebay and orton stops will probably be about 10 minutes late

Guess where we are at today! Proper vintage wedding, we picked the party up from Carlisle station travelling on the sir Nigel Gresley. Up to Gretna to get married then whistle stop back to the station to catch the return journey on the steam train

Just had a little blast from the past. Was researching Penrith bus station for a job and went on the street view round the back where the bays are and there was our old Olympian!
