🚛 HGV MECHANIC WANTED – BEFORE WE LOSE THE PLOT 🔧😂

Right… let’s not mess about…

Our trucks are starting to develop “personalities”…
and not the good kind 😅

So we’re looking for someone who knows their way around an HGV and can keep things running without turning it into a drama every week 👀

🔧 What you’ll be doing:

• Fixing things that definitely worked yesterday
• Servicing trucks so they don’t fall apart at the worst possible time
• Keep us right for MOTs
• Brakes, suspension, steering and all the usual headaches
• Tell us when something’s about to cost us money (we won’t like it, but we need to hear it)
• Listening to drivers say “it’s just started making that noise…”

💰 What you’ll get:

• £18 – £24 per hour depending on experience
• Flexible hours – part-time, full-time, evenings, weekends
• Family-run business – no suits, no nonsense
• Plenty of variety (and the odd bit of chaos)

👀 We need someone who:

✔ Knows HGVs inside out
✔ Can work on their own without being babysat
✔ Actually turns up (rare these days 😅)
✔ Can laugh when things don’t go to plan

HGV licence = bonus, not essential

💡 Perfect if you:

• Already work in a garage and want extra hours
• Are self-employed
• Are semi-retired but still like keeping busy
• Are sick of dealership life and fancy something more relaxed

🚛 We’re Hiring: 2x Tramper Drivers (Class 1 HGV)

Adam Tait Haulage Limited – Family-run Scottish Haulage Company

Adam Tait Haulage Limited is expanding, and we’re looking for two reliable Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Drivers to join our team. We pride ourselves on professionalism, reliability, and treating drivers with respect.

📋 The Role
• Full-time tramper work (Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend work).
• UK-wide deliveries, typically 4–5 nights out per week.
• Responsibility for safe loading/unloading, secure transport of goods, and accurate paperwork.
• Representing Adam Tait Haulage Limited in a professional manner with customers and on the road.

✅ Requirements
• Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence.
• Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 2 years’ HGV experience (tramping experience preferred).
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence.
• Must be 25 or over (for insurance purposes).
• Good knowledge of UK road networks and driver hours regulations.
• Flexible, reliable, and able to work independently.
• References required.

🚛💨 This Week in the Wild World of Haulage...

We’ve been out on the roads, doing what we do best — moving stuff from A to B (and sometimes to C because the sat nav had one job 🙄).

✅ Shifting freight like absolute legends
✅ Battling the Scottish weather – sunny in the morning, hail by lunch
✅ Drinking enough tea to qualify as a mobile café
✅ Practising our Olympic-level reversing skills (still waiting on our medals 🥇)
✅ And yes… someone still can’t find where they left the straps

If it fits on a truck, we can haul it. If it doesn’t, we’ll still give it a go (with a risk assessment and maybe a biscuit).

Out on the road, in the yard, or lost in a layby — just another classic week in haulage life!

🚛 WEEKLY UPDATE FROM TEAM Tait! 🛠️💙

This week at Adam Tait Haulage Ltd, we’ve been:

🔹 Moving more pallets than your auntie moves gossip at a family BBQ
🔹 Surviving Scotland’s finest weather (i.e. all four seasons in one hour)
🔹 Consuming possibly unhealthy amounts of tea, biscuits, and bacon rolls
🔹 Fixing a flat tyre with more teamwork than an Olympic relay team

In summary — we’ve been grafting, laughing, and keeping things rolling (literally). If you need something shifted, hauled, or just want to talk trucks and tattie scones, give us a shout!
