❗️A message to all our customers from the Kilbarchan Lillias Day Management committee❗️

What do you need to know for Saturday?

✖️Road closures✖️ -
The road closures in place from 11am are as follows -
📍 Tandlehill Road
📍St Barchans Road following through to Dalhousie Road.
📍Troubridge Avenue, Troubridge Crescent and Mackenzie Drive.
There will be access to premises only from 11am until the parade leaves the area at 1pm.
All traffic will be stopped entering the village at the roundabout, Branscroft, Church street, Shuttle street and Tandlehill Road from approximately 1pm to allow the parade to pass safely, traffic will be allowed through again once past but there will be delays.

✖️No Parking notices ✖️- there have been official notices up for quite sometime on the parade route attached to lampposts detailing this information extensively and we also printed these in the brouchure on page 32 this year.
📍The Main Road - Easwald Bank, Low Barholm & High Barholm
📍Ewing Street, Steeple Street & Barn Green
📍Shuttle Street
📍Wheatlands Drive
📍Wheatlands Farm Road
📍Park View & New Street

Please remember we are not stopping you from parking because we want to - it is to allow the parade, walking stewards, HGV’s full of children and the vehicles to pass through the village as safely as possible. 🦺
The park will be from 12 noon, and remember we have a pre-pay stamp system so we are encouraging folk to pass by from 11.30am if they can on the way to parade and pay your entry fee to alleviate queues later on in the day as you’ll have a designated side of gate you’ll be able to enter through fast tracking your entry!
Entry fee is £3 for adults £1 for children - cash only!

All applications will be considered , there is no need for prior experience of working within a taxi environment , however prior customer service experience would be desirable .

🎅Merry Christmas everyone 🎅

• Johnstone Christmas Lights Switch-On takes place TODAY Saturday 29 November 1pm – 5pm


• There is live entertainment all afternoon from the bandstand ahead of the switch on taking place at 5pm

• The whole town is geared up for Christmas fun with:
o A funfair in Houstoun Square until 5:30pm
o Santa’s Grotto until 4pm
o St Vincent’s Hospice Christmas Market
o Giant inflatable snow globe for festive photos
o Fun festive walkabout acts
• The Christmas Lights will be switched on at 5pm with Provost Cameron, Santa and Jenna from Wallace Primary School.

• Jenna is one of five winners in the Provost’s annual Christmas Card competition where local school children are invited to design Provost Cameron’s Christmas cards.

• The festive fun doesn’t end here with festive switch-on events still to take place in Linwood on Friday 5 December in the Tweedie Hall

• Renfrewshire is home to many fantastic businesses. We can all support them by choosing to spend local where we can. Around 70p from every pound spent local, stays local.

There’s currently a public appeal in the Saltcoats area for a child with additional support needs who has an interest in Magic Trees.

Their support worker is trying a random act of kindness appeal for magic trees to be handed in as you will see further down the post

One of our drivers has picked up on this appeal and we as a company , are supporting him and we are asking all you kind hearted people across johnstone to donate any magic trees you may have.
They need to be in good condition but doesn’t matter if they have lost their smell

If anyone would like to help with this then please drop any you have into our office and our driver will deliver them to the support worker

📍Saltcoats
A pupil I’m supporting is really interested in Magic Trees. We would love to support the child by using them as motivators and within countdown routines to support transition. They need to be in perfect condition but don’t need to still have their smell. If anyone has some could you send me a wee message please? Many thanks in advance x
