Due to increased piracy in the Red Sea, shipping lines are now delaying, re-routing or cancelling sailings through the area.

This has a potential impact on any shipments from Asia to Europe due to arrive in January 2024 and beyond, with the possibility of long delays and/or cost increases for alternative routes.

WHEN IS CHRISTMAS COMING?

We all know the real price of letting Santa down.

When your customers buy from you through December, you know they have the 25th clearly in mind — even, and perhaps especially, if it's last-minute.

When it comes to setting your "last order date for Christmas delivery", it seems like those elves in their delivery vans get more efficient every year — but they can only deliver what you have in stock at the time.

And if that stock comes from overseas...

The vessels arriving into the UK in that last week before Christmas: from mainland Europe you're still OK, and from Turkey and the Eastern Mediterranean you have may a couple of weeks.

From the USA, though, those are next week's departures.

From China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, this is the week.
