Driving Miss Daisy is a companion and driving service that is dedicated to empowering the least mobile of society to live more independent lives. We believe that helping people to remain mobile, encouraging social interaction and providing companionship is at the very heart of living life to the full. We are flexible and able to adapt our services to meet the individual needs of older people, chil

dren, people with autism or learning disabilities, as well as those with physical disabilities or other health needs... we even take pets to the vet! We currently service around 30 communities in the UK and are rapidly expanding, so if you're interested in letting Driving Miss Daisy lend a helping hand to your local area then please don't hesitate to send us a message to discuss franchise opportunities.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARY - 95 today!

Amongst her trips out this month she's been to Laurel Farm with Ellie and a potter round the sites of Debenham with Susan

We love listening to all the adventures in her life and she's definitely one of our favourite Daisy friends

We're a lifeline for so many.....

We take over 50 customers to their day centres every week
Some of these customers live alone + it's the highlight of their week
For many it supports their individual needs eg for dementia, MS, autism, wheelchairs (including exercise classes!), strokes and many others
For some it's the local 'lunch club' meeting
And we even take two gents to the pub to meet up with their mates for a pint + a bite

We genuinely help people keep their independence

Dementia Action Week is just around the corner. Taking place between 18 - 24 May, it is an awareness campaign led by Alzheimer’s Society, bringing people and organisations together to act on dementia.

There are plenty of ways to get involved, whether sharing your story, putting up posters, holding an event, or proudly wearing your Dementia Friends badge.

If you're after some inspiration, have a read of our 2025 round up: http://spkl.io/6183A7HbH

Later this week we'll be sharing a bingo card fill of activities you can do as a Dementia Friend so show your support during Dementia Action Week and the Forget Me Not Appeal in June. Watch this space!

Here's an example of what we do:

Jane is housebound
Her only day to day interaction with people is when carers visit, typically to fulfil their tasks then move onto their next client
We take Jane out on a regular basis, which she loves
Without us she struggles to get out even for some fresh air in the garden: we're her lifeline......

We've many customers like Jane, which is why our job is so rewarding as she always looks forwards to seeing us and getting out

We care
