Special delivery day for Uplift Transport 👀📦
After the old winch decided to give up despite only recently being serviced, this arrived courtesy of DHL today. Typical transport industry logic really .spend money maintaining things and they immediately develop new and exciting ways to annoy you. 😅
Nothing glamorous about the job sometimes just heavy parts, muddy trailers, sore backs, and constant problem solving to keep everything moving.
Hopefully some good news later today once this is fitted and the trailer is back fully operational again. 💪🚛

A good old “nothing is making this easy today” job for Uplift Transport 😅
This non-runner was needing moved over to McQueen Auto Services, and just to keep things interesting, our winch decided it had other plans for the day.
Still, a packed-in winch isn’t enough to stop the job getting done. 💪
Between experience, a bit of problem solving, and the refusal to be defeated by machinery having a mood swing, we got it loaded up and delivered quickly and efficiently without issue.
Sometimes transport work is smooth and straightforward. Other days it’s “right then… we’re doing this the hard way.” 🚛

Not every day you see a classic MG MGB roadster rolling through the Highlands on Mississippi plates 🇺🇸🚗
This beautiful MGB had travelled all the way from the USA for a UK touring adventure and had already made it from Southampton right up to the Highlands before unfortunately breaking down.
Thankfully we were able to step in and assist. A genuinely well cared for classic and a real credit to its owner the sort of car that makes you slow down for a second look even when you’re meant to be working. 😄
We helped get things sorted, pointed them towards a few trusted mechanics, and wished them the best for the rest of their journey north… and then the long trip back south again.
Breakdowns are never ideal, especially when you’re touring another country, but we’re always happy to help get people back on track where we can. 💪

This spares and repairs van made the long trip from Caithness down to Glasgow this week. Not every journey is a showroom-fresh car and easy motorway miles sometimes it’s tired vans, unknown faults, and “let’s see if it survives loading” energy. 😅

Thankfully this one behaved itself all the way down and was delivered safely to its new destination with no drama. Which, in transport work, is always appreciated.

From the far north to the central belt another job complete. ✔️

This Ford Fiesta was collected from Perth Tyres and safely delivered up to Inverness for its new owner after a recent purchase. Clean pickup, good weather, and no roadside surprises the kind of job we don’t mind seeing more of. 😄

A bit of maintenance and preparation behind the scenes recently to keep everything moving as it should.

The trailer has just had its service completed along with brake work, and it’s now fitted with a fresh winch cable ready for the next round of vehicle movements across Scotland and beyond.

Transport work is only as reliable as the equipment behind it, so keeping everything maintained properly is just as important as the jobs themselves.

Not the most glamorous side of the industry, but definitely one of the most important.

Not your average daily delivery… this one turning a few heads on the way down!
Collected in Aberdeen and safely delivered into Glasgow, smooth run with no delays.
Bit of care needed with this one (and rightly so), but handled properly and strapped down like it should be.
Always a good day when everything goes to plan… and even better when you get to move something like this.

📍 Wick ➡️ Inverness successfully completed.
This one safely transported down from Wick and handed over at WeBuyAnyCar in Inverness.

A proper Highland run with a few “interesting” bits of road along the way that like to keep you awake. No issues, no delays, and no hiccups from start to finish.
Car arrived on time, in one piece, and importantly… still sitting on four tyres (always a bonus up that way).
