The P38 Range Rover suffer from a range of complex electrical problems, many of these problems are caused by the BECM unit situated under the drivers seat, (RH drive). The BECM can cause problems, from non starting, to central locking issues. A vehicle that is working one minute to a vehicle that you can't unlock or start is very common.
We can fully test, reset and repair the BECM. We have specialist equipment that connects to the internal electronics of the BECM, this allows us to alter all the settings of the BECM. We can reconfigure your own BECM to accept different keys, or allow you to change the engine ecu. We can also reprogram a 2nd hand BECM to match your vehicle.

We provide a fully mobile BECM resetting service, where we come to you remove and reset your BECM and get your vehicle running.
There is obviously a charge for traveling to you which we work out on a mileage based calculation.

Alternatively many customers choose to post their defective BECM to us, which we test and repair then return to the customer. This is usually achieved within 48 hours.

The P38 Range Rover suffer from some quite serious electrical and electronic issues. This ranges from non start, vehicle immobilization, and central locking issues. Most of these faults are caused by the BECM situated under the Drivers seat (RH drive models).
When the vehicle was designed vehicle manufactures tried to make the vehicle theft resistant. Virtually anything can cause the BECM to put the vehicle into an alarmed state. This can be a flat battery, stray RF interference or a defective key fob. Symptoms vary to central locking not working, vehicle immobilized.
Often there is little the owner can do, very often garages - AS etc struggle to identify the problem.
We have all the necessary equipment and knowledge to reset and reprogram the BECM unit. We have travelled all over Europe fixing P38 Range Rovers that have immobilized themselves .
We offer a fully mobile service 7 days a week to get your P38 running. Obviously if your a long distance away it may be more economical to post your BECM to us, we can test and repair and post it back to you.
