Due to the very untimely passing of Dave recently, his family have decided to close the business forthwith.
They would like to thank every single customer - many of you becoming friends also - for your support over the years.

Well, I never ever thought I would have to write a post like this. Sadly, my boyfriend Dave Whittam of Harwich Taxis passed away yesterday. We are absolutely distraught to say the least. My daughter Bo and her husband Lee have sorted out his funeral arrangements for him and me today, for which I will be forever thankful and grateful. A very hard task for the both of them.
It will be held on the 8th August at 1100hrs at Weeley crematorium. Family flowers only, but, if anyone would like to make a donation to the Macmillan.org.uk please feel free.
Anyone and everyone that ever came into contact with or knew Dave personally, or any other reason, is more than welcome to attend. X###🖤🖤🖤

Out with the old and in with the new!

Back on the 3rd January, I posted the sad news of Dave (Harwich taxis) being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.
Since then he’s been on chemo pills and his first 3 month scan showed a ‘significant regression’ in ALL areas!
We saw the consultant again on the 10 August, and again, after the last 3 month scan, things have shrunk even further!!
To say we are over the moon is an understatement!
We know there was a couple of people who had him AND the business written off, but no! Harwich Taxis is still as strong and busy now as it was then.
Our grateful thanks to the drivers, desk staff, and of course you-the customers! Xx

SADLY, IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION, THAT RUMOURS ARE CIRCULATING AROUND THE TOWN THAT WE ARE NOT OPENING UNTIL LATE AND CLOSING EARLY. WE ARE NOT QUITE SURE WHO HAS STARTED THESE UNTRUTHS, BUT, WE ARE OPEN EVERYDAY - THATS SEVEN-DAYS-A -WEEK - FROM 6am AS USUAL!!

As mentioned earlier, on the very very sad passing of our very own Mary Rozier, we would just like to say that Mary’s funeral is to be held on the 12 May.
It is at her beloved son’s request that this is a very strictly PRIVATE service, with invited guests only, but, for those of you that wish to pay your final respects, please feel free to send flowers OR donate to Macmillan. Please please respect her sons wishes. Thankyou
