A Hamilton teenager has gone missing. Have you seen Liam Kiddie?

His concerned mother is hoping people will share this post and told us, “No one has seen or heard from him since 5pm yesterday and we’re starting to get worried. He was wearing a white top, black shorts and white and red gazelles.”

4 weeks already since Hamilton Park ladies day. We were truly honoured to be part of the very well organised and attended event.
For the first time we were part of the prizes with a £500 cash prize from Wellman Cars to the best dressed lady, and wasn’t she just stunning.

Last month we hosted our third annual Wellman Cars Community Raceday and what can I say every year it just gets bigger and better.
This year we celebrate 100 years of this amazing venue and racecourse.

With our sponsorship of the day it allowed over 3,000 local community groups, organisations, businesses, care homes, sports groups and so much more into the event for FREE. As well as our set up in the main marquee giving away lots of Wellman cars goodies, competitions we also had tea, coffee and snacks for everyone.

To see such a high attendance at our community day was especially heartwarming to me as we do sponsor a lot of events and support our community in every way we can, but on a day such as our Community Raceday I get to meet and chat to our customers, friends and business colleagues face to face, which is something I love very much.

I remember chatting to a man from a taxi company in Glasgow and he was telling me he had come as he loves to see what we do as a business for our drivers and our community, a comment like that is very special to me.

Well done to our competition winners, Charlie, Grayson and Jacob who each won a family pass to the September weekend family race day on Monday 28th September.

Each of these winners received a family pass to the family Raceday Monday 28th September Maggie's Lanarkshire Hamilton Park as well as a meal voucher.

It is certainly true that life and work can make a 360

A few months ago one of our new drivers had a surname that meant something to me so on meeting him I told him that one of my first customers was a lady with his surname and I proceeded to tell him that when I had our first child I did in-fact call him Blake and told one of my favourite customers, Mrs Blake this the first chance I got to speak to her on returning to work.

He nodded his head and said that Mrs Blake I was speaking about was in fact his mother who had sadly now passed. He said he remembered that I always spoke to his mother and she was a regular
customer of Wellman for over 30 years and she would talk about the lady from Wellman dropping in biscuits to her at Christmas as well as her Wellman Cars calendar.

How nice is that !

It really is lovely to have Mr Blake now working with us, a full circle indeed, as Blake (our son) started him on his journey here without even realising the connection.

SAFETY is our biggest checkpoint.

Anyone advertising on social media that they cover transfers, airport runs, golf outings etc, if they do one hire a day minimum then they are required to have a council license for both the car and the driver driving the car. Also hire and reward insurance which is more expensive than general insurance must be on the said vehicle.

Please check these things before getting into your next car.
