Dear Overlanders Customers

Due to the recent and significant increase in fuel prices which show no sign of slowing down we have made the difficult decision to introduce a surcharge for each leg of all airport transfers. The surcharges are NOT per passenger they are per journey

It hasnt been an easy decision to make and we have always tried to be the most competitive on prices in the area but given the ferocity of the price increases at the pump it really is the difference between doing the job and not turning the key on the minibus.

Wedding season is looming and im so proud to be at the top of the list for transportation at Riverlands at Faxfleet. So pleased to be asked down to the fabulous venue by Kyler Gilson to take a few photographs. We have been working together for a few years now and have ferried many happy customers to and from this fabulous place. Its magical when we are approaching it at night all lit up. 🥰

Even though the weather isnt amazing today for me to take pictures the venue still gives off those wedding vibes and it becomes that magical location for those brides to be and their families to celebrate their special day.

Evening all. With Christmas fast approaching Overlanders Private Hire Of Howden will be closing for our Christmas Break on Christmas Eve and re opening on Friday 2nd January 2026 !

We hope you all have a fabulous Christmas and New Year and from me and my little family we would like to thank you for all your support in 2025. It is much appreciated and without you we wouldn't be operating.

In May 2026 Overlanders will have been running for 3 years. In that time we have grown from a fresh start up business with a little VW passat run by me who knew absolutely nothing about being a taxi driver but wanted something that worked around caring for my children, into operating a 8 passenger seat minibus and having such a loyal customer base which is growing every day from all of your kind recommendations to your friends, family, neighbours, colleagues and more.

The job isnt easy, its long hours, there's even been a bit of danger on occasion, its fraught with difficulty and challenges but we always turn up, we always get you to your destination and we always try our absolute best to accommodate you when and wherever possible. We wont be beaten on price or service and we always look forward to seeing you again.

So as we take a short but deserved break we want to say thankyou, stay safe, enjoy your Christmas and we cannot wait to see you very soon.

For 2 years we have been operating bookings on a trust basis and what I mean by that is we never ask for deposits for bookings even though so many of you offer and expect to pay one when booking. We are going to have to look at deposits on evening bookings going forward.

Tonight we have been let down by more than one customer by last minute cancellations and even one who decided to book us for a specific time and then when they come out 15 minutes late and wonder why we aren't there, even after we've been waiting over 10 minutes for them and let them know we were waiting suddenly we get verbal abuse and threats as well. Thank heaven all of our calls are recorded.

I'm sorry if you enquired for tonight and we were "booked" already. It's the few that always spoil it for the many. We always show up we always say yes when we can and we always get you home. That's the Overlanders Promise.
