We recently conveyed a client to London for a 1 hour long meeting.

So in context they spent 6 hours travelling for the chance to attend a 60 minute meeting.

But in the back of our car, they enjoyed a comfortable, safe and private trip.

They had no timetables to adhere to, they stopped for a Starbuck’s enroute, they were able to make several phonecalls, laptop at the ready in absolute privacy.

Our car collected them at a pre agreed time from their house, and with a little luck drove them to the front door of the London offices.

The value was in the 6 hours of work they were able to carry out in comfort, whilst the driver focused on their safety and timely arrival 15mins ahead of their meeting, arriving relaxed and confident.

You book your trip with us, to the airport, for that business meeting or a day out as a treat.

We now know you’re desired timings, the flight, the meeting, the lunch booking and everything else you have planned.

We will confirm your booking with an emailed confirmation, with all the timings for you to see.

Those timings will only show plan A, but your driver will also have plan B and C to hand just in case.

You may receive a text the day before suggesting a slightly earlier collection time, or a request to alter you meeting timing and/or your lunch booking because the route between the two has altered.

We take care of your entire trip or day, without you really noticing. Not many train, coach or even taxi services can do that.

Result for you being you had a great meeting because you had no stress, your lunch went brilliantly because you were relaxed, you arrive in the airport lounge with time to spare even though we drove you an unexpected route.

Where would you rather sit on your day trip to Manchester?

A crowded train carriage, that is noisy, with you having to change trains enroute.

A National Express Coach, taking 5 hours with various stops enroute.

Or sat in our car, stopping whenever you want, and a huge boot to bring back all of your shopping.

All three options have good and bad points but only one eliminates the stress.

Flying to the west coast of the USA from Heathrow for a 5 day business trip, meeting existing clients and pitching to a new one, flying business class.

The train is an option, but could it get you there for the flight first thing in the morning, possibly not. So, catch the train, book a hotel for the night before, get up early after not getting a great nights sleep, because the hotel bar was right below you. Then of course you need to get home when you get back.

Another option book us for a 03:00 collection, get into the back, recline your chair, cover yourself with the blanket and wake up 2hrs later at the airport, same thing on the way home.

Which option would you choose, both have similar prices overall?

You need to get to London for a midday meeting, on Monday 20th April. But which travel option do you choose on a cost basis?

Train from Gloucester to Paddington, leaving at 08:30 returning at 17:30, First Class (so you can get some work done in relative comfort), booked via Trainline is £320.79 for one person, plus taxis at both ends.

With us, we collect you from your front door, drop you off at your meeting’s venue. Wait the hour for the meeting then drive you home.

Yes we do have a slightly higher cost, but much lower stress, if one person travels. But if two or three travel we have a much lower cost, and still much less stress. Plus popping into Fortnum & Mason, or Harrods on the way past is not a problem.

Which option would you and your colleague choose?

One thing we quite often get told from brand new enquiries, not from existing clients, is that compared to local taxi firms our airport prices are expensive.

But we're not, if you drill down into our prices.

So what do you get for your money:

- First HMRC Charge you 20% VAT, just because we work hard.

- Next you are paying for a car that has taken maybe 2 hours to properly hand wash, rather be driven through an automatic car wash for £10.00.

- The driver, that will be driving you, has passed their Institute of Advanced Motorists assessment, meaning they are one of the safest drivers in the UK.

- You will be driven in a car that has ample passenger and luggage space, heated seats, and individual air conditioning, with you being offered Sparkling or Still water in a glass bottle.

- We will advise a collection time for you, based on your flight time, removing the stress of arriving in time for your flight. If traffic becomes an issue on the day of travel we will already have a plan B or C in place, meaning you will notice nothing abnormal, just maybe a different route to normal.

Sounds good so far, apart from one simple thing.

If we are collecting you at 14:00, we will be parked outside by 13:50, if we are collecting you at 02:00, we will be parked outside by 01:50, allowing 10mins to get you and your luggage onboard before the collection time.

We have been using HK Cars since 2018 they only use premium vehicles, are highly professional in appearance & attitude. With flights subject to delays you can rely on HK Cars to be “in the know” and be waiting. We wouldn’t risk trying an alternative service because you cannot get better

S44 was questioned on price by one client, until they appreciated the clean car, always on time for his flight, safe driving always adhered to, and a well presented, polite, professional driver.
