Southside Radio Cars was established in Cardonald in 1994 with an initial fleet of ten cars, two telephone lines and a clipboard. Fast forward 27 years and Southside have a fully licenced operation base, a fleet of over two hundred cars, forty+ telephone lines, a free online mobile booking App and a state of the art computerised call management system. All of our fleet utilise leading edge Ground

Positioning and Satellite navigation system. Southside Radio Cars started as a local business, a combination of convenient location next to the M8 and an adaptable service that can adjust speedily to our clients needs has seen us grow into a leading service in the Central Scotland area. Our Accounts office and fully trained account managers now handle business for major services and clients throughout Scotland. Our integrity coupled with our local success has also attracted business from further afield and we now supply a corporate service for national retail stores in our area. Our business is successful because we know the area and understand the demands of our customer base. Building on local knowledge and investing in the local community has watched our business go from strength to strength. Southside Radio Cars know what is important to its customer and provides services which meet their needs. Freephones are available in local health centres, colleges and local stores. In addition customers can now call from dedicated freephones in superstores such as Morrisons Cardonald and Tesco Silverburn. Our service is available 24/7 365 days per year and our computerised offices are supported by fully trained friendly staff. The care and safety of the customers who travel with us is paramount and it is a mandatory requirement for all Southside drivers to be licensed with Glasgow City Council and have obtained Enhanced Disclosure Scotland Certificates from the Scottish Criminal Records Office. Our service is second to none, we consistently deliver a quality service provided by first class drivers and support staff. We pride ourselves in providing a customised service to meet the diverse and often changing need of our clients.

On behalf of Southside Radio Cars we would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the past 27 years. We finished on a high note and raised £7242 at our final fundraiser on Saturday night at the Rolls Royce Club.

We managed to provide new Bluetooth Hearing aids for Stuart (Julie Fenn Thomson) and a little something for Jim Connor our own Southside Legends kids.

A huge thanks to everyone who donated, supported and gave your time. Also everyone who spent their money 💴

Glasgow Govan Graving Docks have been transformed into a large 'No New Worlds' sculpture for COP26! 👏
The artwork will be exhibited until 13th November!

The eye-catching sculpture, which faces the COP26 campus, measures 70m long, 7m high and uses 3,723 low power LED lights that use less energy than two toasters.
