Stagecoach West Scotland is pleased to announce a partnership with Ayr Racecourse, making the company the official transport provider of the Coral Scottish Grand National. It will now be easier than ever for racegoers to attend Scotland’s biggest horse racing event on Saturday 12th April 2025 using the bus.

Bus is available from a wide range of locations across Scotland including pickup locations in Glasgow.

First Bus, one of the UK’s leading bus operators, has unveiled its brand-new learning centre in Glasgow as part of a groundbreaking agreement with Unite the Union to enhance educational opportunities for over 2,300 frontline employees across Scotland.

Based at the operator’s Caledonia depot on Glasgow’s south side, the learning centre is designed to provide frontline First Bus colleagues with accessible educational resources, supporting career progression and ultimately improving service for customers. This is one of 12 new learning hubs and satellite centres First Bus is creating across the UK.

More than 200 million free bus journeys have now been made by children and young people since The Scottish Government introduced free bus travel for under 22s three years ago.

The scheme continues to help eradicate child poverty, help people take climate action and grow the economy by providing free access to education, employment and leisure.

Since being introduced in January 2022, it continues to encourage the early adoption of bus travel among children and young people.
