Global Container Services Limited was founded in 1983, and provides Customs clearance and freight forwarding services to a wide range of customers. We pride ourselves in being flexible in our business approach, and offer high quality services to the shipping industry. We operate our Worldwide deep sea freight services in partnership with overseas agents, and our current agency network includes 102
offices representing 49 countries. This allows us to be a leader in the movement of freight from and to each of these destinations, as well as having the ability to cross trade on key market areas. In addition to those services, we also offer European trailer movements to and from most EU countries, these services are organised with our European haulage network and services are offered for both full and part trailer movements. Customs clearance facilities continue to be a key area of our business, and for arrivals into the UK, we operate direct clearance facilities at all main sea ports, these include Felixstowe, Southampton, Tilbury, Thamesport, Liverpool and Teesport. Our clearance facility extends to airfreight arrivals too, and we cover London Heathrow, London Gatwick, East Midlands, Leeds & Bradford and Manchester airports. We are members of the British International Freight Association (BIFA), Felixstowe Port Users Association (FPUA), and British Chamber of Commerce. In 2012, we gained the accreditation of Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) at the highest level (Customs & Security). This accreditation is only offered to companies who can demonstrate their full compliance to HMRC requirements and follows stringent auditing of the procedures of the company.
