How do you take a picture of a mirror without taking a picture of yourself at the same time? 🤔

Yes we've still not quite figured that one out. 🤣

Did you know that we do large item removals? We recently moved this beautiful large ornate mirror for solicitors Thomson Bancks in Pershore.

Upon arrival, we were fortunate to find that it had already been removed from the wall but it was incredibly large, dusty and delicate. We needed to move it without damaging it unless we wanted to risk 7 years bad luck.

Our team got to work preparing it to remove it and once inside the van we carefully strapped it against the side to ensure the delicate plaster surround did not get damaged.

It's final resting place was located about 20 miles away so we started on our journey, taking care not to drive too fast. We avoided roads with ramps where possible and went slowly round the bends to ensure it didn't move around in the back.

When we finally arrived at our destination it was on a narrow and very busy road with double yellow lines so parking safely we had to move quickly.

Our team then delivered it - still in one piece to its recipient who was very pleased with their new mirror.

We need your help!

Even though we've been here in Evesham serving other local businesses and the community for over 10 years our page is still relatively new at a year old.

There was nowhere to turn around.

It was a dead end. No turning space, just a solid stone wall on one side and a sheer 200ft drop on the other.

Just one wrong move and it would all be over in seconds.

The address given at the top of a steep (1:3) incline hill was clearly wrong - perhaps a miscommunication or a misunderstanding when the business had taken the order.

But that was the least of our problems right now.

1000 miles from home in Genoa, Italy, we were disastrously short on options. Reversing down the steep hill in the van using just the wing mirrors simply wasn’t going to cut it. If we were going to get out and get home, we’d have to turn around.

And so began the biggest ‘3 point turn’ (probably in history), except it wasn’t 3 points - more like 25! A few times we came close, too close to that drop but little by little we started to turn around.

Finally, we were safely at the bottom of the hill. After a few calls, the mixup over the address was rectified and the antique furniture order we were carrying was delivered on time to its recipients (who were ‘over the moon’ to receive their delivery).

We look back now and it’s a good story to tell, but at the time it was terrifying!

That’s the thing with Evesham Transport, it doesn’t matter where your item needs to be delivered we will get it there on time.
