☀️🐴 Hot Weather Horse Travel Tips! 🐴☀️

With temps rising this weekend, we’re taking extra precautions to keep horses safe and comfortable during transport — and so should you!

Here are a few key things to keep in mind when travelling horses in the heat:
🔹 Travel early morning or late evening when it’s cooler
🔹 Keep your horsebox well-ventilated
🔹 Offer water or electrolyte solutions before loading and during stops
🔹 Avoid long stops in direct sun
🔹 Monitor for signs of heat stress (sweating, rapid breathing, lethargy)

🌡️ Commercial transporters should only transport animals in temperatures above 30 degrees if they have a temperature controlled vehicle — just like ours! We have 3 big windows, a roof vent and fans to keep things as cool as possible! 😎
