🚖 Moray Council has launched a public consultation on the proposed renewal of maximum taxi fares and charges across Moray.

The proposal includes a small increase to the maximum fare for the first mile, from £3.96 to £4.00, and from 33p to 35p for each additional tenth of a mile.

As always, these are maximum charges, meaning operators can still charge less if they choose.

The consultation is open until Friday 24 July 2026, with feedback being reviewed by the Licensing Committee before any final decision is made.

Moray Council, as the Licensing Authority, is reviewing the maximum taxi fares and charges in Moray and has launched a public consultation.
