Hi all, thanks for everyone’s messages.
Today i had a drop at Prestwick around 14:00 and my next job was a pick up at Glasgow Airport that i would need to be there for around 15:00, as that is when id be expecting them to be out at the earliest. I was in plenty of time, so i was in no rush, in front of me was a caravan and i set my cruise control, to follow it. A couple of times we got to a dual lane, and I didn’t bother overtaking it as i was in no rush, and let the cars behind me go, and just sat at the same speed behind the caravan. Then suddenly the caravan swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle in the wrong lane and it ploughed straight into me, i was travelling just over 50mph and believed the oncoming car was travelling faster ( not saying he was speeding it was a 60mph limit) but we were at a collision speed of over 100mph at least. I had to be cut out the vehicle and my 9 week old car is is gone. Still a bit shaken and very sore but the police are amazed i walked out the hospital roughly 5 hours after that collision.
Unfortunately i did miss a job this evening into town, and a return out of town, but i have managed to get the airport jobs covered, although the 1 i was on the way to did have to wait a bit longer. Im sorted for jobs upto Tuesday at the moment and hopefully will have something else in place for the jobs later on this week after ive been in touch with the insurance company.
Any worries about you transfer, feel free to get in touch.
Thanks Iain.
