🚜 To the KPFA organisers - the six volunteer charity trustees - Nicola, John, Al, Marie, Gav and Gill, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Team East event team, our village leads Anita, Fiona, Helen and Sharon and the 100 volunteer marshals and collectors around the route, who make the event so successful and safe for all. Thank you for giving up your time to make the event safe and enjoyable for all.

🚜 To the thousands of people who turn out to watch, show their appreciation of the event and gave what they could afford along the route, throwing money in a penguin at one of the pubs or sending a special donation.
You are all truely amazing, thank you and together we have achieved a fantastic amount of money for a vital rural service that literally saves the lives of our friends, neighbours and loved ones.

🏥🚑 Our teams are back on British soil with our biggest ever road Transfer yet, our patient has been successfully handed over.

Over 3500 miles from Hull To Alicante and then Alicante to Dorchester this team have driven through the night since yesterday morning. Taking it in turns on a nightshift on the road the planning, care and team work has been out of this world. Our paramedic was flown in to support the spannish handover discharge planning. And will be flying back to Spain.

Our patients care has been an absolute pleasure and honour 🎖.

Please don't ever feel you get stuck abroad
And most importantly take out insurance 🙌

🚑 Nothing is impossible if you fall ill abroad an can not fly home, we have teams that can get you home.

Today Team BAS are driving to Alicante to bring a patient home whom can not fly, this can be an extremely mammoth task and extra worry and you never think it happens to you. Were here to support, and liaise to get you home

🏥 we work with so many specialist companies to find the best, safe and comfortable way home.

Our crews are stopping at several hotels before driving the whole length back to get this patient back into a british hospital for further treatments.

🙏 As much as fireworks are fun and beautiful they can change your life in an instance, as a medical provider who's priority are our people and service users it saddens us to read this story of a Young Scarborough boy who's deeply been impacted with life changing injuries from a firework injury.

Please could we invite all who can to donate towards Tom's go fund me in hope and pray that he gets to see again. The devastating impact this has hand on the family is immense and any donations would be incredibly helpful at this difficult and deeply sensitive time. 💔
