Introducing Derby Derby Cars - Driven by Derby

We’re pleased to launch Derby Cars - Driven by Derby, a new local transport service from Sendacar, providing reliable, community focused travel across Derby alongside our airport transfers.

All journeys are carried out by fully licensed Derby private hire vehicles with trusted local drivers, supporting safe and dependable travel across the city.

The RideSafe project.

This summer, we’re piloting http://ridesafe.org.uk/ in partnership with The cosy foundation and Safe & Sound Derby.

RideSafe helps remove transport barriers for vulnerable young people in Derby, giving them safe access to:

* Safeguarding support sessions
* Community programmes and activities
* Specialist support services across the city

For many young people, transport is the missing link to getting help. RideSafe aims to change that.

There's actually a bunch of stuff we're gonna throw at this too so keep in touch.

☕ How you can help.

The idea is simple:
The cost of two coffees can fund a safe return journey for a young person.

A three-month pilot is running across June, July and August 2026, supporting subsidised journeys for those who need them most.

If you can help pay it forward, I know a bunch of young people who will appreciate it.

We’re hoping to build RideSafe into a long-term initiative to connect local businesses, transport providers and individuals who want to help remove transport barriers in Derby.

But in response to some queries and requests. We've kicked off a local project to offer a 100% local alternative to, that app that rhymes with Tuba.
(my brother used to play the Tuba, I swear it went to school on a skateboard? - Legend).
