🚐 Dedicated Vans – Keeping Your Freight Moving

Dedicated van transport is one of the biggest services we offer here at RTS and with the transport industry facing increasing challenges, having the right network behind you has never been more important.

📢 Tachographs being introduced for vans.

⛽ Rising fuel prices.

📈 Increasing operating costs and limited vehicle availability.

These challenges can make finding the right vehicle at the right price increasingly difficult.

But at RTS, we don't have all our eggs in one basket.

Over 27 years, we've built strong relationships with trusted transport suppliers across the UK and Europe. This extensive network gives us access to better availability and competitive pricing, even when the market is under pressure.

And it's not simply about having a long list of carriers.

As an ISO-approved company, our suppliers are carefully vetted before we use their services. We want to know that the companies carrying our customers' goods meet the standards we expect from ourselves.

That means when you book a dedicated van through RTS, you're getting more than just a vehicle.

You're getting:

✅ Access to a trusted supplier network

✅ Competitive pricing

✅ Better vehicle availability

✅ Vetted and approved carriers

✅ Experienced transport professionals

✅ The personal service and communication RTS is known for

27 years of experience. Strong supplier relationships. One dedicated service you can rely on.

If you're regularly moving urgent, time-critical or high-value goods by dedicated van, speak to us and see what we can do for you.

🚛 Groupage and Part Load transport doesn't have to mean compromising on service.

At Retail Transport Services, we know that Groupage and Part Load shipments can often have longer transit times than a dedicated vehicle.

But we don't believe that should mean less communication.

When your goods are sharing space on a vehicle, having visibility and regular updates becomes even more important. That's why we pride ourselves on providing a level of communication that feels far more personal.

📦 Regular updates
📞 Clear communication
🚚 Visibility throughout the journey
🤝 A team on hand when you need us

Our Groupage and Part Load services offer a cost-effective and reliable transport solution, without leaving you wondering where your goods are or what's happening with your delivery.

It may not always travel like a dedicated load…

But we believe the communication should feel dedicated.

Because regardless of the service you choose, keeping you informed is all part of the service.

Cost-effective transport. Reliable service. Dedicated communication.

Making Transport & Customs Simple

Why has Amazon been so successful?

Because it makes things easy.

A couple of clicks, your order is placed, you know what you're paying, and you know when it's arriving.

We believe transport and customs should be just as simple.

At Retail Transport Services Ltd, getting set up as a customer is straightforward. A couple of simple forms, a few details from you, and we can get to work.

From there, we can become your one-stop-shop for transport and customs clearance — taking away the hassle of managing multiple suppliers and giving you one dedicated contact from quote right through to delivery.

📞 One phone call.
📧 One quick email.
📍 One dedicated point of contact.
🚛 Transport managed.
🛃 Customs managed.
📦 Your goods kept moving.

And we'll keep you updated throughout the process — often before you even need to ask.

We understand that price matters. Sometimes the cheapest option will be the right option, and that's completely understandable.

But when you look beyond the headline price, what is the value of having an established freight forwarder who knows your business, is available when you need them and takes responsibility for the whole journey?

If there is a gap in cost, we'd like the opportunity to show you the value we can provide alongside competitive pricing.

After all, transport shouldn't be complicated.

You tell us what you need moving. We'll take care of the rest.

🚛 Why being a family-run freight forwarder still matters

In an industry increasingly driven by automation and large-scale operations, we believe there's still real value in personal service.

At Retail Transport Services Ltd, we're proud to be a family-run business. That means when our customers contact us, they're dealing with people who genuinely care about their shipments, deadlines, and business success.

We understand that logistics isn't just about moving freight from A to B. Behind every consignment is a customer relying on us to deliver on our promises.

Being a smaller, independent freight forwarder allows us to:
✅ Build long-term relationships with our customers
✅ Provide a personal point of contact
✅ Respond quickly when challenges arise
✅ Deliver a service that's flexible and tailored to individual requirements

We're grateful for the trust our customers place in us and remain committed to providing the reliable, personal service that has always been at the heart of our business.
