Class 1 Drivers required for Linehaul work
Transway haulage ltd. is a small, family-run haulage business operating since 2014. We are running a small fleet of 71 reg. tractor units -New Mercedes units and operating from a very convenient and secure location in Coventry (CV3 4FR).

We are happy to offer very clean traction work on a modern fleet of tractor units As a Class 1 driver within our company, you will not be responsible for any loading or offloading duties other than opening/closing back doors, docking trailers onto the loading/tipping bays or swapping them on the yard. Shifts, that can have start times in the mornings, afternoons, and nights and are planned for 12 hours (last between 7 - 9 hours on average) with daily home returns – without fail.
Overtime will also be available during peak periods for those who willing to cover any extra shifts.
We are running 7 days a week including some Bank Holidays that also need to be covered. In return, you will receive 28 days of fully paid holiday entitlement.
You must:
have a valid UK Driving Licence with max. 3 points and no DD, DR, or IN endorsements
have a valid Digital Tachograph card
have a valid CPC/DQC card
be permitted to work in UK
be able to provide at least one valid ID (i.e. passport or EU card) as well as Driving Licence
pass (free of charge) criminal background checks (online) as well as 'drug&alcohol' test (that can be taken locally to your home address)
As a Linehaul driver:
You will have visibility of your whole week's plan available in advance.
You will be required to use the customer's dedicated mobile app for your work
You will need to work strictly to the customer's schedule and communicate any delays or issues on the road with the planners to keep the On-Time performance at the highest possible levels.
You will also be required to adhere to all on-site safety rules and interact in a positive and professional manner with customer employees.
You will need to keep the vehicles in a clean condition for those who will share a truck with you (only Full-Time Employees within the company and trucks are assigned to a very little amount of drivers only so it will not be difficult)
