Following the latest updates to the DVSA’s "Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness" which came into effect this month, requiring operators to carry out laden brake tests at every inspection (or up to 7 days prior, with very few, specific exceptions), Clarendon Freight Ltd can help operators remain compliant by providing costs effective and flexible roller brake testing 6 days per week without appointment.

With our workshop conveniently located on Stephenson Industrial Estate, just off the Coalville bypass, close to both the A42 Ashby & M1 J22 and within 15 minutes of Bardon, Cliffe Hill, Whitwick and Breedon quarries, we are ideally located to service local logistics and tipper companies.

Our newly installed Saxon roller brake tester is DVSA approved and meets all of the latest requirements to ensure your vehicles will remain legal and compliant.

We can accept both account customers and credit card payments so no advance paperwork is required. If you are passing by loaded, simply call us with your ETA prior to arrival to ensure we are ready for you so that you are not held up.

The latest addition to the Clarendon Freight fleet, a 2025 Renault T480, was collected today.

Supplied by Andy Cross of RH Commercials, Cossington and delivered complete with cameras, CB radio and all the latest safety equipment to comply with Fors, TfL’s DVS etc, all that was required was the addition of our livery, supplied and fitted by Coalville Signs and the truck is ready to go to work!

Together with one of our bulk tipping trailers it will start work on Monday, predominently operating to and from the Midlands/South East on some of our regular contracts delivering aggregates, bulk minerals and glass.
