WESTON BUS INTERCHANGE CLOSURE: Weston-super-Mare Bus Interchange will be closed overnight from Monday 24 until Wednesday 26 March 2025, between 8pm and 5am. Therefore First West of England services 7, A3 and X1 will be on diversion during these times. FURTHER UPDATE: There will be a diversion update for the X6 and X7 as soon as possible after the tree cutting has taken place.

🚧 Alexandra Road – Tree Maintenance & Parking 🚧

🌳 Tree maintenance will take place on 26th February (one day only) to facilitate the temporary diversion of the X6 and X7 buses while work continues on The Beach.

⏳ Expect brief traffic delays (around 15 minutes) at three locations along Alexandra Road during the works. Traffic will be managed and alternative routes remain available.

🚗 Temporary parking suspensions will be in place for some spaces along Alexandra Road until the works on The Beach are complete. Please check signage and keep these areas clear to allow safe bus access.

🚌 We’re working closely with First Bus to reinstate the X6 and X7 services to Upper Clevedon as soon as practically possible after the tree work is complete.

ROAD CLOSURE: The Beach in Clevedon will be closed from Monday 17 February 2025. First West of England X6 and X7 services will therefore be terminating and commencing from Six Ways stop from Monday until further notice.

🚧 Upcoming Works on The Beach, Clevedon – Important Info 🚧

Works to implement the changes to The Beach in Clevedon will begin on Monday 17th February. To ensure safety and progress of the works, the following temporary changes will be in place:

🔹 Road Closure: The Beach will be closed at the Elton Road end with traffic lights in place to manage traffic. Please note access to Seavale Road from The Beach is maintained.

🔹 Access & Exit: This will be via the Pier End with access maintained for the seafront, residents and businesses, with the one-way order temporarily suspended. Please note public parking on the seafront will be affected.

🔹 Diversion Route: Traffic will be redirected via Elton Road and Alexandra Road

🔹 Bus Changes: The X6 and X7 buses will terminate at Sixways until further notice.

We understand this may cause some disruption and we appreciate your patience while we carry out these works.

Single town fares for adults travelling within Clevedon, Nailsea, or Portishead will remain at £1.80.

Adult single fares in the Bristol, Bath and Weston-super-Mare zones will increase from £2 to £2.40.

Adult single fares in the rest of the West of England will increase from £2 to £2.40 for journeys of up to six miles and to £3 for longer journeys. For example, travelling between Clevedon to Nailsea will cost £2.40 and travelling between Portishead to Clevedon will cost £3.

As part of the local Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP), child single tickets remain at £1 for travel anywhere in the region.

Some of our fares are changing on 1st January following the Government’s announcement earlier this year that it was raising its fare cap from £2 to £3.

Many of our single fares will remain below the cap at £2.40.

**FURTHER UPDATE**: This road will now be open tonight (Tuesday) but will be closed again tomorrow night (Wednesday 13 November) and therefore the below diversion will apply again then for these 2 services.

UPDATE: These works have been extended for two extra nights - Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 November, so the diversion will continue to be the same for these two services.

ROAD CLOSURE: Rhodyate Hill (A370 partial) overnight from Monday 28 October until Friday 8 November (excluding weekends) between 8pm and 6am. During this time First West of England A3 and X1 service will divert via Smallway and Claverham Road. Timetable change from 3rd November - WsM 5 & X5 ⏰

Due to Gordano School in Portishead changing their start/finish time, the 0710 X5 Mon-Fri journey from Weston will now depart at 0700, the 1415 X5 Mon-Fri journey from Weston will only operate as far as Sainsbury's (no longer serving Sheepway), and the 1605 X5 Mon-Fri journey from Portishead will now depart at 1550.

Due to inter-working with service X5, the 0640 service 5 Mon-Fri journey will now depart at 0635.
