ADVERT FOR HEAD CHEF
Racks Sports Bar are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced head chef/kitchen manager. We require a new team member to assist us in creating a new, high quality food venue in the centre of Grimsby.
Our upstairs has been open for one year, offering a high standard pool and darts experience, with an atmospheric bar and multiple large screens. It is popular and successful.
We are currently renovating downstairs where we plan to offer another bar, screens, shuffle boards, interactive darts, pool tables and food in the street food style.
The successful candidate will be responsible for hiring, training and managing our kitchen staff and ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly and profitably.
They will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills, very good organisational skills, be able to manage a budget, be able to perform well in a high pressure and fast paced environment and have creativity and superior culinary skills.
At least 2-3 years of proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef or managing a culinary team is required. There are no fixed education and training requirements, but relevant qualifications will be an advantage.
Immediate commencement is available although we are able wait a short period for the right candidate. The hours will be over 40/week and will include working evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We are offering £15/hour negotiable, equating to £31,200/year with 28 days holiday.
