I actually took this as a joke picture due to the ‘I’ in Edinburgh being not lit up, but it is a fitting image to say that ‘I’ is leaving Edinburgh and Eidyn Tours was on tour today for the last time 🚍

A pleasant array of Phone and Post Boxes at Fort George, in Pillar Box Red. Initially Post Boxes were green to blend in with there surroundings, but changed to red to stand out. I cant think of anything more British than this scene, can you?

Sadly, Culross was one of many Burgh’s in Scotland to actively accuse, try and kill innocent citizen’s for the crime of witchcraft, with James VI of Scotland and I of England spearheading this cause after his marriage to Anne of Denmark.

Culloden Moor is the site of the last battle on UK soil in 1746, ending the Jacobite rebellions aiming to return a Stewart King to the throne. It is a sombre place to visit, but brightened today by a rainbow over Leanach Cottage, which was used as field hospital for the Government troops during the short battle.
