Yesterday, in spite of dwindling night time trade and the cost of living crisis Cotswold District Council decided to approve a whopping 55% increase to Rate 2 taxi fares.
In spite of taxi drivers objections to the increase and an alternative proposal being submitted they felt that driving up evening and Sunday fares by an unprecedented amount was the correct thing to do.
