Fortunately for us at Cooper's Taxis, there are still just enough drivers remaining to serve our most loyal of customers that haven't defected to Uber. We appreciate that and it hasn't gone unnoticed. Uber may tempt with cut price fares when they are busy building clientele in an area, and conversely, double or treble those fares when they are doing well. That's their business model. Ours is to remain consistent with our fares. We appreciate that fares aren't cheap, the costs involved to run a business makes cheap fares impossible. ( Unless your a massive global player with endless cash reserves). But at least our customers know that the fare structure they paid yesterday is going to be the same one they'll be charged today. No rip off surge charging.
Uber isn't for everyone, returning customers are demonstrating that, and now a few drivers are beginning to see the light and returning to Cooper's too.
Just bear in mind, the more you use us, the greater the chances of our drivers remaining to serve you and us too as a company.
May we also apologise for increasing periods of unavailability at peak periods, this is an unavoidable issue due to those reduced driver numbers. Hopefully we'll return to our usual strength in the not too distant future.
